From the design of a family home to an entire city, architects shape the world in which we live. Our course delivers the creative and technical skills you’ll need to help transform our built environment and succeed in architectural practice.
We’ll help you to consider the cultural, environmental, technological, social, legal, economic and regulatory contexts of architecture. You’ll learn about its history, from ancient Greece to the present day, and explore the design of buildings as well as the technical and managerial skills needed to turn them into reality. You’ll consider ‘buildability’, sustainability and how to meet human needs in building design and you’ll learn how to produce architectural drawings, and to analyse, research and develop briefs.
