Studying Art at A Level will equip you with a set of transferable skills both for life and for a wide range of vocational areas. A Level Art is perfect if you want to study art, craft and design-related subjects. Many students progress on to art related courses. This course allows you to explore a range of disciplines before deciding which area you want to study at degree level.
Most of the work for this syllabus is practical or studio based, so you can develop your abilities of observation and analysis of the visual world, sensitivity, skill, personal expression and imagination. The course stimulates interest, enjoyment and personal enrichment as well as introducing artistic exploration and design thinking. This course helps you develop a range of key of important and transferable skills.
