CES International Junior Summer School combines expert English language training with a full program of sports, activities and cultural visits. Location is available in Leeds, Oxford, Edinburgh, and Worthing.

Program Details:

  • The minimum age is 12. Maximum age We can accept 11 year old's but only if they come as part of a group or they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Levels available: Elementary (A1), Pre-intermediate (A2), Intermediate (B1), Upper Intermediate (B2) Advanced (C1). According to demand.
  • There is a maximum of 15 students per class.
  • A Junior English Language course is 20 lessons (15 hours) per week in the mornings.
  • 1 lesson in the UK = 45 minutes - All didactic materials are provided by CES.
  • Each course is supported by its own syllabus and a published EFL course book.
  • Homestay accommodation is on full board basis 9 packed lunch Monday to Friday) and is in shared room accommodation. All CES homestays have been visited by CES staff and are DBS checked (Police checked).

Program Features:

  • Students have compulsory social, cultural and sporting activities in the afternoons (14.00 – 17.00).
  • Typically, a week will include 1 full-day excursion, normally on a Saturday, 1 half-day excursion midweek.
  • 5-afternoon activities on the evening a week.
  • Lessons focus on developing the core language skills, with particular emphasis given to speaking and listening. Vocabulary and pronunciation work are integrated into each session.
  • CES uses role-plays, project work, and task-based activities to develop students’ communicative skills.
