Accounting and Financial Management at Hull is taught by staff with real-world experience, as well as academics at the forefront of research. You will learn how public-, private- and third-sector organisations are funded and accounted for. You'll also gain an understanding of how financial information is used to make vital business decisions and learn how to balance risk and reward in competitive, unpredictable environments.
You'll develop an in-depth understanding of global accounting and financial management though placements, projects, case studies, company visits, guest lectures and online mentoring. Many students choose to spend a year working on a professional placement or studying abroad as part of their degree. Summer schools are also available with a range of overseas partners. These are credit-bearing for degree purposes – a distinctive feature at Hull.
